acefstripe I really like this latest from Starthief, great sound design and textures through out. If you have interest in modulars, there are patch notes available too for the music! Nice work and recommended. Favorite track: Sine Cobra.

about

Inspired by thoughts on Marshall McLuhan's concepts of "visual space" and "acoustic space." We can think in terms of a binary map of obstacles and spaces, ink on a page, a world where only one object can occupy any given coordinate location. Or we can think in terms of interpenetrating, overlapping, reflecting, refracting energy fields such a sound.

I realized that my own mental imagery when making music is often of caverns, tunnels, roads and so on and thus, strangely, more "visual" than acoustic, so I set out to change that.

"Passing Through" refers both to travel through such a mapped space and permeation through a porous medium. Perhaps they're really not so different.

Abstract, mostly improvisational electronic music with modular synthesizers, FX pedals and software.
